This weekend was foggy. Except for the women's march on Saturday; it was nearly 60 degrees and sunny for the majority of the march! Sunday I slept in, got a few important things done, and headed to downtown Ann Arbor for a bite to eat at Fred's!
Fred's is fairly new to Ann Arbor. I love eateries that are a happy medium between fast food and restaurant dining, without high calorie menu! I can eat healthy go as quickly as I want to, or sit and do some work for as long as I want without worrying about taking a server's section for too long! You order what you want at the counter, take a number and pick a spot!
I got the coffee. It's roasted locally and it's very strong!
It was such a tough choice, but I picked the breakfast burrito. It's a whole wheat tortilla (you can choose other bread options) packed with cheese, black beans, loads of avocado and you get to choose if you want sweet potato or ham. I got the sweet potato. There's a small bakery at Fred's...their cupcakes looked amazing, so now I need to go back for a dessert visit!
It's not often you get the chance to walk around in Michigan without a coat in January. I decided to take a stroll and see what some of my favorite little shops were up to.
I love wearing dreamy prints and pastels when it's super foggy outside. I opted to pair a spring scarf (why not, right?) with my favorite soft tee from Dex. I got mine at one of my favorite Michigan boutiques from the west side of the state, Lee and Birch.
I wanted to bring the less prominent darker colors from the scarf out, so I opted for one of my favorite navy cardigans from Lilly Pulitzer. Unfortunately it wasn't warm enough outside to go without any sort of jacket, and that's where my favorite quilted vest came in handy. It's just warm enough for all of the in-between weather!
Seriously Dex shirts are the softest. You can find them on Lee and Birch's website (right now they don't seem to have blue online, but there's a gorgeous red color here).
The vest is Lilly Pulitzer. At the moment they don't have the vest in tan, but they do have navy blue here. Barbour also makes a great quilted vest and it comes in navy, black and olive here. As for the scarf, I'm loving J McClaughlin's printed silk scarves right now. They have a gorgeous red and blue one here that would look great with the red Dex shirt I linked above! If you want a more affordable option...I purchased my scarf two years ago at Charming Charlie for about $10! They have one here with a similar color scheme.
