I love vintage clothing. But half the time vintage clothing is illusive to find and sometimes when you do find it, it's either the wrong size, very expensive, or the fabric is so delicate that you're afraid to wear it out-which defeats the purpose. This past month I was on a search to find vintage inspired pieces that wouldn't break the bank.
I may have waited until the Monday before Christmas to get serious about my outfit for Christmas Eve and New Years! I was looking for a dress festive enough to wear during the holiday season, but practical enough to wear throughout the winter for other occasions that may pop up.
I visited Amazon.com because they have some of the best shipping options for procrastinators! I never thought I'd find a great vintage inspired piece like this on Amazon, but I guess it was fate! I fell in love with this 1930's inspired dress with 3/4 length sleeves and a flaired hem!
The fabric is definitely a winter weight, but you could carry it into early spring. I'd switch up the accessories in the spring; a strappy or nude heel with a floral clutch in a coordinating color scheme would be perfect!
I paired the dress with my favorite black patent platform heels from LK Bennett. Yes, they are the same shoes Kate owns! You can shop them here .
So here's the real deal: I spent $27 total on this dress. Tax, shipping (I paid standard shipping) it was all just $27. I think this is one of the most unique dress finds I have made in a while. And it certainly fit my criteria for vintage! Best of all it comes in 6 colors! You can shop the dress here. I recommend ordering a size up.
*I also started following a great online boutique called Bitter Root Vintage (I've got my eye on their Zenith Dress!)
