I believe that for most people, linen is a love or hate thing. I love linen, I even love the way it tends to wrinkle as I wear it (which must mean it's true love!). I bought this dress from the L.K. Bennett outlet store, which is just outside of Chicago, about a year ago. It's not quite a Kelly Green, but it's definitely close. I think it's a great hue and a perfect hue for linen. L.K. Bennett dresses are the epitome of English tailoring. They are one of my favorite designers when looking for a classic dress with understated details. The fit is second to none, and that's where L.K. Bennett really shines. No wonder Kate Middleton is constantly rotating pieces from this British company!
The slingback kitten heel shoes are L.K. Bennett from the spring of last year (L.K. Bennett is the pioneer of the kitten heel). The rafia material of the shoe is so spring and summer-like, and it goes perfectly with the linen dress. A match made in heaven. There is actually a matching clutch that went with the shoes, and I kicked myself for not buying it right away. Just so you know, L.K. Bennett only has 2-3 of each item in each size. This includes non-size pieces like clutches, purses, and scarves as well. So if you like something from L.K. Bennett, get it before it sells out! Luckily I have a lovely pearl evening purse that I've had for several years. Turns out the crystals and flowers on the shoes go perfectly with the pearl purse!
